that's magic Clefty - I'll have a word with Murtle and as soon as they're printed I'll get them to you, would you like a hand with the laminating?
np, how many we looking at? So I can start stealing pouches from work :-)
Are they standard A6? -

Amazing work Wayne and Murtle. For some reason that spokecard really touched me. First time in a long time i can say i am truly proud of so many people pulling together. What an amazing lot you all are.

Nice one Cleftalicous - A6 would be the shnizzle, looking at the numbers signed up to the ride so far I reckon 250 A6 spoke cards would do it
[do you laminate them as A4's and chop them or is it easier to do them as cut A6's]
-
• #33
if you laminate them as A4's, then cut down, the laminate will open up.
better A6 as they will be fully sealed on all edges. -

BTW, donations are now at £809.
PayPal have removed £44.64 in fees which I'm covering.
Flowers have cost £105, so the current charity donation will be £704.
This is great that we've raised so much.. Well done everyone, nice design for the spoke card too..

better A6 as they will be fully sealed on all edges.I haz A3 laminate pouches so can usually do about 4 - 5 a page, they are evenly spaced so they dont open up, this is the way I did the Shoreditch Polo ones and they're still ok after several months. So yes BDW if I get them already cut to A6 that would be fine, I also haz guillotine at work so can chop them quickly
250 is fine, we have plenty of time before the ride (i knocked out over 100 polo ones in an evening) so it shouldnt be a problem -

i would like to do something too, I have a laminating machine, let me know.

Hello, Im Eilidh's sister. I have signed up since Giles showed me the forum last week and have been following your threads. I am really touched by the effort and generosity of you lot. I always cycled in London when I lived there and I am proud to have been part of that 'family', and I totally understand how not cycling was not an option for Eilidh.
I think my parents want to come down and do the ride. I and my partner, Stewart, definately will. I was due to come that w.e. in any case and stay with my little Sledge, so this will take the edge off the fact that she is not there, in a tiny way.
I read about the armbands and all that, she wasnt into pink as such but was always wearing bright colours. Anyway, its the funeral tmrw, after that has settled we (well me at least) would love to get more involved in what your are organising. It will give us focus again.
Anyway, thanks again, it makes the blow a little easier to bear.

You're going to make people cry over their lunches again.
Make sure someone here knows who you are on the day, we'll make sure the family and close friends are wherever you want to be within the larger group and that you all have enough space and stuff.

Kate, I'm sure that a lot of people from the forum will be taking a moment out tomorrow to remember Eilidh, you're all in our thoughts

It would be good to have a bit or order to keep the day smooth i.e. who leads it out, when it starts, and some basic conduct outlines:
No swearing (Mum and Dad are going to be there)
Respect other road users
Keep a steady speed
No skids
Bikes out the road when we get to Notting hill
hats/helmuts off
Smile! -

Thats fantastic - When you stopping taking donations?
Not sure. In a week or so I guess.
Purely from a selfish perspective, could you keep it open till the end of the month I (and perhaps a few others here) get paid at the end of the month so would like to be able to contribute then?

PayPal have removed £44.64 in fees which I'm covering.
If you just give out an Paypal Email address, and people send you money through "Personal payment", such as "gift", you can avoid the fee.

Seriously?
In that case: paypal@buro9.com
And set it as a gift :)

awesome effort on the spoke card dude
just got back from yesterday's funeral and it was amazing - standing room only in the church, the weather held up just fine and some pretty inspirational stuff was said by frineds and family - a real good send off
thanks again all for all the words in the pink book of condolences- giles was pretty damn moved when i gave it to him
re the route, i will give you more dteails when i have them, but basically
think we should start earlyish, say 9/10ish
start: Parliament hill (i will give an exact spot when i think of one)
finish: eilidh site near coronet cinema
those that want to could decamp from the site to hyde park afterwards rather that too many of us taking up too much room on the pavement/road in nottinghill for too longor a pub that can accccomdate hunderds of us!
peace all, i will give more accurate route details and timings after i chat with giles

whats the deal with the distribution/collection of funds on the day?
i'd be happy to help if you still need a spare pair of hands.
let me know -
• #49
nice one Spags - Probably divvy up duties and have 4 people distributing on the day, keep it as low key as poss [I'll probs take a cheque with me and give that to the family rather than hulking bags of coins]
-
• #50
How do you want to get them to me big fella so I can start laminating?
Agree VB. run it to the end of the month and send it direct to the charity with a note to the family
all monies made from the spoke cards can go direct to the family on the day
