peel the stickers off those rims

also it is a very nice bike

  • Hi, ive not long got my first fixie too...

£20 from a mate who was upgrading...

Its an old 70s/80s Carlton if the stickers on the frame are right but it serves me well for commute...

Only problem is i now want something nice as well - but my budget is significantly less than yours.

time is your friend, save up for a decent frame (i.e. Bob Jackson off the peg frame), because you already got a bike, don't rush it, just save up money for a bike for life. That or go for the Brick Lane Bike frame* (the cheapest model but decent) or go to Cavendish Cycles to pick up an IRO frame*.

*the BLB frame is the same as the IRO, decent affordable fixed wheel frame for the money.

well done for searching instead of posting a new topic too.

  • Just bought the very same frame from Cavendish.....

Now for the rest of the bike.....

  • dont think the BLB frames are exactly the same as the IROs. boys in BLB claim they have different geometry... i went for an IRO as you get 631 and a threaded headset for a bit more cash.
