I went round Regents Park last night. Now I know that having cabs drive past you with headlights blazing doesn't give your night vision a chance to kick in properly, but that Hope Vision 1 isn't ***that ***bright is it...
It was definitely adequate along with the torch on my helmet though. I ended up with the Hope pointing about 25m up the road, and the torch (with a bigger spill to the beam pattern) moving around within that 25m.
This was mainly because of the best point to mount it on my helmet, and the fact I was down in the drops the whole time, but it worked well for picking out holes and stuff anyway, and also for looking up and 'firing a warning shot' at peripheral vehicles.

Meh.
