Hi all
I am having terrible trouble trying to source a new Shimano 1" threaded headset, preferably Ultegra or 105. I've scoured all the usual internet haunts only to find that they're all out of stock. Apparently, Shimano have stopped making them now, so it's just a case of trying to get lucky.
I'm after a silver headset (to go with my colour scheme!), and don't mind a decent alternative to Shimano if I can find it - can anyone recommend a shop / website?
On a broader note, is there likely to be a longer term issue with older 1" steerer tube bikes if manufacturers stop making such headsets, and do the newer OTP fixies use the 1 1/8" standard?
