I can guarantee that they won't be for much longer in this weather. At least wait for the "dry" season or don't waste your money and go for black..

I had standard rubinos on a training road bike, 120psi, tyre wore through to the carcass before it went pop, and without skidding!

seems there's a lot of us here willing to pay extra for tyres just to get them white. maybe we should start a sort of confessional thread?

Bumpity bump.
Where are the white tyres nowadays? Best I could find was the rubino pro's at Wiggle. Does the line with the text come off? Would make the whole thing a bit whiter sort of.

zaffiros feel grippy enough to me in the wet, but if your gonna be skidding on them its a no no!
i imagine most coloured tyres are rubbish for skidding in the wet because of the compound
edit: didnt notice how old this thread was lol! i got my ones special order through evans when i worked there, but you can still get them as a customer. expect to pay a big more though unless they're still price matching but i dont know how that works

seeing as it's been bumped then - where you get white randonneurs?

i imagine most coloured tyres are rubbish for skidding in the wet because of the compound
a lot of coloured tyres don't grip as well as black, because of the compound required for the colour.
so in fact, they will be excellent for "skidding in the wet" but pretty poor for actually doing any serious riding.
Someone help me hunting any of these down?
I know of a few models (i.e. Schwalbe Stelvio/Vittoria Randonneur) but i can't find anywhere that stocks them in the UK (postage from chari is $60).
If someone could point me in the right direction it would be much appriciated.
