There are no 'londonfgggss.com guys'. Just one man. Velocity

Black rims hide the dirt.
That is all. -

White spokes,
Purple hubs
Purple alloy nipples
Black rimmmmmzzzzz yo! -

Id say white rims silvver spokes (and possibly black nipples) go with anything,
but get dirt easily. -

can't co wrong with silver. especially for vintage.

Purple was a joke.
IMO a classic looking wheelset means silver spokes, hubs and nipples... seriously!
Rims should be medium / lo-profile and either black or silver. No big stickers.
If you don't want them looking too 'meh' then perhaps aerohead / DT swiss 1.1 or something.. but no deeper.
Now Ive written it down this all seems very petty... and you for starting a thread too!
Flakey. -

so bottem line.. wich is the perfect colour combination to take from one frame to another...
Puce on Lavender.

Also dark grey anodised rimmmmmmz would be good - like an Open Pro CD. (similar to the old Mavic MA40 / GP4 etc. finish.)
But seriously... worst thread ever..! -

All silver and you can't lose...

I don't agree with black wheels/rims not looking good on vintage frames. I have black wheels on what it's likely to be a 1960's frame and it looks alright. There's a cream coloured track bike somewhere on the p8rn thread that looks really good with black wheels.

Not this one. But I do like this one too! I saved the pic on my computer but I'm at work now.
I might take the opportunity to hijack the thread and asks where I can get a non machined, non deep black rim in London? I'd like a new back wheel with a coaster brake on. BlackOpen sport are machined (so i was told in condor) and Cavendish suggested Areohead (I think) but I was quoted about 40 squids (off budget) and they don't have any in stock at the moment. All suggestions welcome. -

^^ that's what they are up there, Velocity Aeroheads - I was blatantly posting my own bike, which is a copy of the bike off the pr0n thread. Sorry, but that's not much help to you.
hi!
after 2 years fixed riding i bought myself an second hand track frame..
only the wheels.. and the sadle .. and then im ready to go
but im doubting about the colour of the rim, hubs and spokes...
i bought track frame in one colour now .. but eventually i will buy an vintage frame..
so what the fuck is your question you may ask ;)
i want to make an good pair of wheels that i can switch on any other frame..
first i was thinking of all black.. but then again it would look pretty ugly on an vintage one..
now i was thinking of black hubs, silver spokes, and a black rim...
so bottem line.. wich is the perfect colour combination to take from one frame to another...
thnx in advandce
ps: if this is the wrong forum.. one of the londonfggs.com guys place it somewhere else. :)
