Winter and Cyclocross tyres / tires

Just changed my rear Randonneur after 5 months/3000 miles of puncture free riding. Teeny bit of the red puncture proof layer was only just peeking through so could have probably got another 500+miles out of them. But for a tenner why bother....
can i get the tyre? you haven't even worn it in if you just see the red. i just binned mine after 4mths of daily riding and polo abuse, worn through the red almost all round and down through 4 layers of threads in some spot.
