• I have a frame (well currently a complete bike at the moment but only the frame is available) that I'm considering parting with.

    A little history:

The frame was built by Gottie Hanson of Hansom cycles (well chances are one of his many frame builders did the build) in South Africa around about the mid to late 90's. Hansom Cycles was the top frame builder in SA in the 80's & 90's. If you were looking for a top end race bike you normally went to Hansom or LeJeurn (built by DuToit).

It's a track frame and has only ever been on the track. Reynolds 531C tubing. The fork is an alloy fork, might be a Vitus... the style of the crown is similar to both the Vitus and early Canondale forks.

The frame was my brothers. He raced on it at National level in the late 90's and again here in the UK in 2007. He then got a Dolan (and is now on a Planet X) and I striped the frame and had it resprayed with the plan of building a track bike/single speed for my girlfriend. She is keen to race on the track and as this is not "Manchester Spec" she is not using it. It's to small for me... so...

Colour is a high gloss black with a red flick in the paint that is picked up but the sunlight. It has *Kuwahara *decals on the frame.

If I'm not mistaken it is a 52cm. Will measure up this evening and get some pics up.

So... anyone interested? I know... silly question.

Not sure of a price just yet. Open to sensible offers.

    :-)
