there are loads of people who have bought bikes to ride and never had the desire to know how they work.
If you were selling a bike and someone asked loads of questions that made you splutter and flannel so you came off a bit stupid maybe the next time you might try and pre-empt that situation.
saying that, it could be nicked. but I think it's just an eighteen year old bike that hasn't been slung in with the over-inflated market created by ignoramuses desperate to ride fixed.
