Hey, no, my fault, had a mare of a saturday, chain slack so went to tighten, my nuts had rusted (oo er misses), knackered the nuts and stripped the thread, luckily had some wheels to pick up (and other stuff), but ended up having to drive from south london (well surrey to be exact) to downham via wimbledon, condor and southwark... would have taken a couple of hours by bike ended up taking about 4 of driving... probably nearer to 5... felt crappy just walking over taking the discs and going... had girlfriend and small child in car, otherwise would have stayed...
Will bring beer next time I manage to make it too downham...
Thought it rather coincidental, considering that skoota's suggested I'm an undercover cop, that police arrived and left at the same time as me! Promise nothing to do with me... I only have duristiction in the south ;-)
Good, I was quizzed afterwards by the seargant (aka girlfriend) about their provinence (is that the right word?)... I just said you were an estate agent fallen on hard times :-)
