Anti-Puncture Tyres At-a-glance

I've ridden on some unpaved roads in the Alps that are similar to the one in the picture on a road bike with standard 23 mm tyres on. Slippage is only an issue if you're forcing the pace and accelerating out of the saddle. If you're seated, and you probably will be, then I very much doubt you'll have any problems.

Looks like I'm over-reacting a bit with the cyclo-X tyres. Would be nice to keep the weight down too.
For low class riders like myself the race is all about the first 16km anyway. The last 5 are just about not losing too much time.
