Colnago Super with Campy SR groupset. A couple of hours to go and only £210...
I was very tempted myself to have a punt seeing as its my size but i don't think getting another bike would go down well with her indoors ;-)

Can anyone give me a ballpark figure for converting this to single speed? Is it worth it? Is it morally ok?!

It's going to be at least $50 for a new front wheel...

money generated from the sale of the parts would cover most of the costs, however.........

The 600 gruppo looks a wee bit later than 1980. My Aerospace had 600EX in 1980/81 and it was the old "Arabesque" pattern.
agreed - the shot-in seat stays didn't appear till 1983.
How can you sell something for £1000+ without doing a bit of basic research? -

been thinking about this. 52 and 58 does sound odd. Does anybody think that is right? Is is just built for somebody with long arms and/or short legs?
I was just successful in my request to cancel my bid on this item. For one, he didnt respond to any of my questions about the frame.
Two, Its advertised as 531, but 26.8 seattubes are made for 501, So either its not even a gazelle, or its a 501 version. Either way I wasnt keen on risking it.
That along with his evasion of questions from other members.
Do not trust this guy.

Is this stuff any good, or just rare?
Just rare - even the most slavish retro MTB fanboy will admit it doesn't shift as well as the standard 'period' M900 XTR, but it's rare, rebuildable and comes in pretty colours...

They look pretty foul to me, especially the top one.

^ kinda like the red one, reminds me of a playmobil fire-engine I had as a kid.
-
• #10246
The green ones somehow seem to combine being shiney, while looking like they're made from balsa wood.
-

Reminds me of the dayglo colours of Sticklebrick.

Dude, they are not deltas, they are similarly styled but considerably cheaper Croce d'Aune.
it looks really fucking small to me, like the front forks look almost small enough to be 650...
