Are these people serious about being stopped

had some pcso's try to land me with a £70 for rinding onto the pavement and getting off. Apparently the dismount should take place on the road. Thank christ for having the 'i'm a broke art student' alibi on standby.

......don't understand all this alarm about trying to get away and evade the police stopping you all it does is escalate a situation, wouldn't it be cheaper (and safer!) to fit front and rear lights when riding after dark and maybe not to "jump" the lights when red even if the road acrossways is empty?
scratching my head at the logic of this reasoning!

its out of our control sometimes. the police have a habit of assuming they saw certain things, then fabricating laws/fines as appropriate.
