• Can anyone remember that 'rules' list posted here a little while ago?

It was a kind of manifesto for cyclists, said things like 'own more than one bike'...

A nice big version that we can read without squinting.

• Thats obviously a joke right?

• Thanks Prav & ElSquire!

What, mikec? Does it strike you as stupid? When I first read it I liked it. But then of course the last one strikes a chord in my Luddite heart.

• Thats obviously a joke right?

It's not for us mikec.. let it go.. :)

• I guess it's all aimed at the people who might be intimidated by competitive riding and compulsive tecnological one-upmanship.

(Edit) like me.

• Yes sorry, you are right. I think I fall into the obsessive aerobicizers catalogue.

• i guess thats where Brixton Cycles got their manifesto from then.

• Probably a good starting point for leisure cyclists and short hop commuters.

Riding has been great for my cardio vascular fitness. No way I could run to work with 10-15kg of sports kit strapped to my back, but cycling makes perfect sense.

I cannot justify technology for the sake of it, don't need to be an early adopter but by the 2nd or 3rd generation new toys have generally dropped in price and early kinks been ironed out.

• wasn't this another invention of Sheldon?

it actually says thats where they nicked it from at the bottom of the page!

• From the Brixton website:
***Plagarized from the Bridgestone Bicycles catalogue 1994
**Grant Petersen of Bridgestone now owns and runs *Rivendell Bicycles.

I knew it sounded like something Grant would have written, it's got his style, without a doubt.

Thought you might.

Probably a good starting point for leisure cyclists and short hop commuters.

Exactly the sort of cyclist I wanted this to show it to.

• I love it. It was another lovely post from Corny that helped me boost my confidence.

• Glad we are in agreement Skelly

;-)

• You can crush us
You can bruise us
But you'll have to answer to
O-oh, Brixton Cycles

• thats one way to look at it. take from it what you want if you want.

• Probably a good starting point for leisure cyclists and short hop commuters.

This defines me perfectly. I will be following these rules and let you know how I get on.

• I recently received 'rep' from a 'man' who frequents a forum I have on 'ignore'.

It appears to have taken me from Cat 3 to Cat 1.

Do I 'nerg' him back?

Are there rules?

• What?

• What?
