  • Looks a bit like him. Diversifying his portfolio.

  • It's him all right:

  • Didi S on Wiki

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Didi_Senft

Conclusive proof of the accuracy of wikipedia:

'Senft attributes the inspiration for the costume to German cycling announcer Herbert Watterot who called the last lap of local criterium races, "the Red Devil's Lap."'

What's meant is the word "Teufelslappen", in which "Lappen" doesn't have anything to do with 'lap' but instead means 'tissue, rag, cleaning cloth'--so to make 'devil's rag', which is what Watterott (sp) called the red pennant suspended from the 1km to go gate in the Tour de France in this case.

    Dear oh dear.

  • No, that would need some reformatting...

List of shitting bollocks for twuntengers:

    1. wet manhole covers are slippery.

    2. you can't stop pedalling.

    3. winter is cold.

    4. some other road users are twats.

    5. 1/8" is a bit more than 3/32".

    6. hippy is fat.

    7. wheels are round.

    8. tyres/tubes can deflate is sharp pointy things penetrate them.

    9. cuntwanktitpooweeface.

    10. godmosqueveganbendybus.

So is God vegan? Does god exist only in mosques? Do bendy buses knock cyclists down in the wet icy conditions if they are on manhole covers running 1/8th chains?

You've forgotten the various discussions about WiganWill and about whether BMMF is still posting or has removed to the "other forum". These are the threads that I enjoy reading most. These and anything with a very long post by Oliver.

  • hey ive posted about 7 times and im still in this stoopid nursery ahhh !!!

  • Sorry, Admin just doesn't like you.

Doesn't the first post say it's an automatic thing... but not immediate? If it doesn't, it should. Upgrades happen every hour or two, so once you've met criteria you still have to wait a little bit.

  • Awww.. don't spoil it for us VB.. licks lips

  • Only a week and a bit to go to this so thought I'd lay it down for those who haven't seen it.
If you want to add your name to the list just click on thread and do so. Look forward to seeing you all on the rides to beers

New Members Compass Beer Rides: 7pm Departure Trafalgar Sq
Things we do well on this forum, organise and go on a regular basis to Drinks, wherever they may be, and Ride.
So in the spirit of these two elements, comes the all new,
    New Members Compass Beer Rides.

It has been noted that meeting up with a big group of forumengers that you don't know in a pub can be slightly intimidating. So to make it less so, this idea has been put forward to combine drinks and rides.

Think of it as a Forum Fresher's week, without the hazing, so that the previous months new members get a chance to meet up with, and ride with fellow forumengers. Talk bikes, find out where drinks are, and get a good ride in at the same time
You can come out to the beers closest to you, or trek out to a beers on the otherside of town, safe in the knowledge that you'll be with people who a) know where they are going, and that b) someone will be heading back in your general direction so you can ride home in the company of another forumenger.

So For One Week, every couple of months, there will be rides from Trafalgar Sq, to the Beers,

**Monday - Souths @ The Coach and Horses
Tuesday - Norths @ The Flask or
Tuesday - South Easts @ The Kings Arms or
Tuesday - Trixie Dix @ **White's Row Car Park Roof. White's Row, Off Commercial Street
Wednesday - Easts @ The Royal Inn on the Park
Thursday - Wests @ The Crabtree or The Ship (season dependent)
Sunday - Polo @ Brick Lane Polo Courts.

A couple of regulars from each beers will be at Trafalgar Sq from approx 6.30 for a prompt 7pm departure, (1pm for a 1.30pm departure on Sunday) And will take any new member who so wishes for a ride which will arrive at beers/polo.

The first Compass Beer Rides will be
    Feb 16-23 2009.

with provisional dates for the following being
    Apr 6-12
    Jun 8-14
    .

So New Members start here, come down to the ride to the beers, introduce yourself to other new and regular members, get a good ride into a beers, enjoy a soothing alcoholic beverage in the soothing presence of your new found bike friends and get a warm and fuzzy feeling at being welcomed into the collective forum bosom.

    Ps.
The meeting up and departure time could be bought forward by half an hour if enough people want to meet and leave earlier.

    That is all...

  • Safe at last!

  • ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

  • That, Pistol, is the cheekiest, not to say shortest, first post I've ever seen. Keep it up.

I had to start somewhere - this was the place. Proceeded to place 4 other posts. 6th post I posted 2 of my bikes on names and faces. Got raped. (shakes head disappointingly)

  • 'disappointedly'?

  • Grammar on this site is ekceptionally high I must say.

    It's all good.

  • Methinks we are all the better for it on reflection.

(I just noticed you 'bolded' the 'e' and the 'd' in dissapointedly- bastard.)

    ;)

    Emboldenised, srly?

  • srsly?

  • Darkenised..(see grammar post)..and in any case, I feel you are detracting away from the fact that I got raped for being so self assured about two of my bikes, that I posted pictures of them. Which is FINE. My ego can take it. IT CAN, I TELL YOU. IT CAN. Fine. Whatever.

    Bastards.

Just so everybody would take heed, of course. ;)

I try to only jump in where the meaning is affected.
