They are only dangerous if you fucking invade their environment and shoot at them FFS. Those hunting videos really really pissed me off.
the vid i posted was about a Tiger literally attacking a non-hunting party of people.
Sry if it pissed you off, but my view was i could be walking along in India having a chilled out daydream them WhAM !!
a tiger just comes out like it did in the video and its curtains.
That my context of it.The 2nd vid made me sad as i already said.

Dylan. Do you actually realise that that footage was of fucked up "big game hunters" shooting at endangered big cats who have spent most of their lives penned in tiny enclosures. Bred so that people with too much money can wander into the bush (meaning a 50m x 50m enclosure) and shoot lions instead of coconuts. This is in the worst taste. Shame on you.
shame on me ? wtf ? i had no idea.
I thought this was a bunch of people in India just taking a trip through bushland.
Anyway, i posted it now so there you go. -

There is something detrimentally wrong with how your brain works.

Granted the vid does show how bloody awesome these animals are, using the environment and their amazing agility and such. But it's essentially a video following people trying to kill these animals...

They aren't trying to kill the Tiger. Ranger's are darting it. The Lion video posted later in the thread is big game hunters. There is no licensed hunting of Tigers in India, unlike in some parts of Africa where you can basically pay to shoot a Lion (which is fucked up).

That buffalo--crocodile (NB not alligators)--lions video is deservedly famous.
seriously though, I mean the Buffalo went back and told his buddies what happened and the who f'in herd came back to kick some lion ass! I didn't think buffalo were that intelligent? I am truly gobsmacked!
Many animals are far more intelligent than we give them credit for. Crocodiles, for instance:
Intelligence
Dr. Adam Britton, a researcher with Big Gecko, has been studying crocodilian intelligence. In so doing, he has compiled a collection of Australian saltwater crocodile calls, and associated them with behaviors. His position is that while crocodilian brains are much smaller than those of mammals (as low as 0.05% of body weight in the saltwater crocodile), they are capable of learning difficult tasks with very little conditioning. He also infers that the crocodile calls hint at a deeper language ability than currently accepted. He suggests that saltwater crocodiles are clever animals that can possibly learn faster than lab rats. They have also learned to track the migratory route of their prey as the climate changes.

This isn't directed at anyone, it's just a rant..
Animals are generally more intelligent than we think but I hate it when people try to compare it to human intelligence. Whether it's our capacity to learn, communicate and develop abstract ideas (etc), no other species comes close. I find instinct and routine is often confused with intelligence.Peace! :D:D

Whether it's our capacity to learn, communicate and develop abstract ideas (etc), no other species comes close. I find instinct and routine is often confused with intelligence. That is certainly true of people. It's the other way around with many animals: Intelligence is often confused with instinct and routine!
Less provocatively, as long as no-one can really say what 'intelligence' actually is (the current status quo), there is little point in trying to reach definitive conclusions as to where it occurs. But it is clear that we have a lot to learn about it, and understanding how animals think without dismissing them as entirely stupid and instinct-driven, is certainly helpful.

What I was saying before I was interrupted.
"We are animals" are playing at the Brixtom academy tonight with '[/Pendantry]' as support, should be great if any one is looking for somewhere to go.

as you can see from the video they were not hunters.
