531?

I've seen a frame on the internet that looks nice and the seller claims it to be 531. Not sure what the frame is as it appears to be stickered up as something else other than it is, according to other photos I have found of that model online. The ornate lugs and frame shape suggest it is a quality racing bike, but I guess there's no way to tell from a picture? Nervex lugs would suggest decent steel to me though. Am I wrong to assume that?

It's certainly a possibility.

I would suggest all the above 'answers' mean that you really have no way of telling. And, if there were, the existence of transfers doesn't necessarily mean it is either.

I reckon you're right that the fancy lugs mean its a safe bet to assume.

@ Skully - No. It doesn't matter really. The frame I have is a heavy one and I want an upgrade.

@efc - Yes I am, and I am selling stuff. I'm going with a bag of clothes and a bike. So I want to make that bike to be a nice one! A nice LIGHTWEIGHT one!
