'Gunsmoke and Mirrors' by Henry McDonald. Good, short book on the NI 'troubles' and peace process.
'Byzantium' by Judith Herrin, just finished.
'A History of the Arab Peoples' by Albert Hourani, just started, think it'll take a while.
Reading history is a new thing for me, I can't get enough of it now. Seems to me that the best way to understand what is happening in the world at the moment is to find out what went on in the past.
