lose the TT, cut the bars down a bit, get a nicer seat (not a brooks)

    IMO.

  • hell yeah, looks brilliant! first snowflake laced wheels i've seen and liked, it just works. helps that both are the same. and remember, that paintjob is your friend!

  • that pic a few months old, the bars are shorter with black tape, new front wheel and a front brake.the saddle was €10 in lidl and i like it.

    also im a poor student.

  • Well I figure I should probably put myself on here now I've been riding fixed for a while.

Here's my Pug 103 conversion, suicide mount fixed.

    And here's me' mug!

    Apologies to any Hitler fans.

(I hate photo's so a comic pose usually does the trick)

(p.s. the Hitler comment is meant as a joke for those who don't know what one is.)

  • are they the stock forks... id love a pub bike i could barspin

  • Nope, believe it or not they are Bianchi Pista forks! I bought the whole front end for £30 (forks, sealed headset, steam (all 1")). They're a lot straighter than the originals, but it's real close. The tyre catches slightly on the frame even though I'm running 23c tyres. It still spins though!

  • I so want your dreads ! if only i had 4 years of hair matting available, i would

  • Crusty hair, sensible jacket! Alternative!

  • I'm not gonna say a thing about the top two pics..........

  • I'm not gonna say a thing about the top two pics..........

    aw, please!

Is that you waiting with a board? Where is this? I've always wanted to try river surfing, be fun as on an old twin fin.

  • thanks very much, I think the rest of the parts are muted enough for the frame to be a bit wild (and i decided I was too lazy to paint it)

it's an x-up, this is a turndown (though not my best, legs are too bent and it's not hitting my shin like it should :( )

    which park are you riding???
i'm in need of somewhere to survive the rest of the winter

  • hell yeah, looks brilliant! first snowflake laced wheels i've seen and liked, it just works. helps that both are the same. and remember, that paintjob is your friend!

hell yeah! put the hammerite down!!!

New Members Compass Beer Rides: 7pm Departure Trafalgar Sq
Things we do well on this forum, organise and go on a regular basis to Drinks, wherever they may be, and Ride.
So in the spirit of these two elements, comes the all new,
    New Members Compass Beer Rides.

It has been noted that meeting up with a big group of forumengers that you don't know in a pub can be slightly intimidating. So to make it less so, this idea has been put forward to combine drinks and rides.

Think of it as a Forum Fresher's week, without the hazing, so that the previous months new members get a chance to meet up with, and ride with fellow forumengers. Talk bikes, find out where drinks are, and get a good ride in at the same time
You can come out to the beers closest to you, or trek out to a beers on the otherside of town, safe in the knowledge that you'll be with people who a) know where they are going, and that b) someone will be heading back in your general direction so you can ride home in the company of another forumenger.

So For One Week, every couple of months, there will be rides from Trafalgar Sq, to the Beers,

**Monday - Souths @ The Coach and Horses
Tuesday - Norths @ The Flask or
Tuesday - South Easts @ The Kings Arms or
Tuesday - Trixie Dix @ **White's Row Car Park Roof. White's Row, Off Commercial Street
Wednesday - Easts @ The Royal Inn on the Park
Thursday - Wests @ The Crabtree or The Ship (season dependent)
Sunday - Polo @ Brick Lane Polo Courts.

A couple of regulars from each beers will be at Trafalgar Sq from approx 6.30 for a prompt 7pm departure, (1pm for a 1.30pm departure on Sunday) And will take any new member who so wishes for a ride which will arrive at beers/polo.

The first Compass Beer Rides will be
    Feb 16-23 2009.

with provisional dates for the following being
    Apr 6-12
    Jun 8-14
    .

So New Members start here, come down to the ride to the beers, introduce yourself to other new and regular members, get a good ride into a beers, enjoy a soothing alcoholic beverage in the soothing presence of your new found bike friends and get a warm and fuzzy feeling at being welcomed into the collective forum bosom.

    Ps.
The meeting up and departure time could be bought forward by half an hour if enough people want to meet and leave earlier.

    That is all...
