Finished.........................at laaaaaaaaaaaaast!
This made it's first appearance at the Tweed Run with black wheels on but thanks to Dale's wheel building skills, I finally have the proper wheels installed and am pretty pleased with my first build.

My two: a 1954 Mercian road/path, and a c.1950s 'Edwardes'. Much as I like the poo brown, the Mercian will be going for a clean up and a respray shortly. The 26 x 1 1/4 wheels on the Edwardes need replacing and it's currently a 5-speed, but it should make a nice vintage fixie for the wife.
like it.
Did someone nick your pump? Littigator...? -

what it is with bike manufacturers... why all the fucking stickers? there are six on that side of the frame alone.
-
• #5409
14 on the frame in all! lol not going to clear them off as my finances have taken a battering so will probably be getting rid of the frame before too long unfortunately as its a really nice ride

swap the "o" for a "y" and it's got my name on it.

The worse bit about the stickers is that they can't be removed as they leave an indent in the paint (god knows how though as no clearcoat that I can tell?) I would like to remove all but the downtube and headtube on my Dolan but would be left with an outline of the sticker in black so it would look a bit crap, especially with so many of them!

Finally got my frame from Mercian. Still in the early stages of the build, waiting for a few final things before i put it together properly.
Really pleased with the frame. Mercian put 631 stickers on the frame and fork, which i'd asked them not to do, was a bit annoyed... but they've grown on me a bit now.

Probably going to be on the road in about a week - still waiting on the replacement 75 chainring and some other bits.
I'll spin down deptford way when it's done. -

Seriously jealous of that frameset, probably a good idea to wait to wait for your old man he'll do a good job of that steerer. Beautiful job!

It's on, anyways why wait for summer if these drag races get off the ground?

Just wanted to show off my current project.
Bought this Woodrup frame a couple of months ago and I've just got around to spraying it. I spent ages sanding and filing it down, removing the unwanted lumps and bumps as well as the paint. Primer, then topcoat. The clearcoat goes on this weekend.
Can anyone help me with the age/name? All I know is that it's a Woodrup frame (Reynolds 531 steel).

good looking paint job tom, but... Imagine if someone was to post that your frame was a very rare Woodrup bike and was worth a bit as it was before the...
But i don't think they will.
i'm only a lurker really, but this is my favourite thread on the forum by far.. really like seeing how peoples' bikes progress and it's great to see the finished product..
will put up my project when i have all the bits together..
