i've got one of these and it's brilliant it'll do 180psi easy, i've never tried to get over that out of it though.

I've a Renn Kompressor and like it although not 100% happy with the connection. The tube is long and heavy and the valve has to be set absolutely vertically, or the connection bends with gravity and spills air at 120psi.

i had a joe blow - did 100psi and 120+ if needed, then I sold it to a mate and bought a Rennkompressor, the orange one. the Renn is a fine pump a bit easier up to 120psi than the JoeBlow but the Renn's metal connector is a real pain compared to the easy Joe connector with the built in lever. the Renn's is a car valve connector with a fiddly presta adaptor on a chain - looks cool but is annoying to use. I'm looking out for a spare Renn connector with a lever similar to the joe Blow, anyone know if thats available?

I got a Renn and don't like the head at all but an easy upgrade looks like just cutting the old head off and sticking a Silca brass head one. One of the pumps at Herne Hill had this mod and it was bombproof. 150 PSI on my clinchers and the head stayed locked on the valve even though only a push-on type.

Copes easily with 145psi for my little tiny Veloflexes, cheap, reliable for the past three years or so.

For the sake of digging up old threads... anyone out there know if the CNC shiny Lezyne pump is any better than the steel one, or is it pure aesthetic value? I used what I think was the steel one at Look Mum No Hands Earlier and liked it more than any track pumps I've used to date. Anyone have any thoughts?

hi andy, so it seems like there's the steel, the alloy and the cnc models. i'm sure all pressure bearing parts will have been machined in order to fit seals so the cnc moniker is 99% marketing. of course the tube may have been cnc skimmed for roundness..
the steel will generate up to 160psig apparently, the alloy 220psig; both have flip head chucks.

I've got one of these in my house, it's a great pump for the money, lasted 4 bikes for over 3 years...

I have the super pista and I was very disappointed in it. the head that came with it had a really cheap rubber washer and air leaked all the time out of it unless you angled it just right. I ended up getting a cheap plastic blackburn head for £2 and that works amazing.

I would recommend getting the SKS RennKompressor instead. just m2c

Yeah, i weird that parkers have the super pista for cheaper than the pista on that site no where seems to sell the regular pista...

I've got a Rennkompressor and i usually have to get someone else to hold head on or move the pump away so it gets head into a position were air doesn't gush out! complete pain in the ass, but i put up with it for 3 years! might do that mod someone mentioned.

i've got a joe blow (yellow/black) and it does the job but I liked my old specialized airtool better. The spesh has a better lever system for locking onto your valve, you need to brace when you flip the lever on the joe blow otherwise it puts heaps of strain on the valve. My mate just got a lezyne, looks awesome and the screw-on chuck is really nice. pricey though.

Had a Silka for nearly 20 years. Replaced the innards of the head once for about £2 the lot - re-greased the guts about twice, and it's still going strong.

My Rennkompressor (actually the TP1, before its name was changed) is squeaky now.

Seriously though - maybe Brass instrument valve oil or similar would be suitable?
