what do you expect?
people who are on a salary in a boring job get half a chance at an excuse not to work they're going to take it! we are always being told UK workers are lazy, why not live up to it.
it's not a case of HTFU, those who wanted to travel, did so. the desperate lemmings going on precious holiday only to arrive at the airport and find planes unable to take off.
I just wish the pavements weren't so icy. in NY I bet they grit the sidewalks, or have those hot air things warming them up. Don't be fooled into thinking new-yorkers are tough, any country that allows it's denizens to become obese so easily isn't a hard place.
PS, I miss you Chris.
