I tried to get from Catford/Sydenham to Old Street, but bailed after on a mile or two (11 mile journey).

I was out in the car, think I saw you. I saw quite a few cyclists this morning, looked bloody awful. Up near Lewisham the roads are black - if you don't fall off you most certainly would get a black snow shower from the passing trucks.
