Sorry, its a work thing. Patients that come into A&E after having had a stroke often coment that they smelt burnt toast just before the attack.
In 'The Exorcism of Emily Rose' it says that people who are about to get possessed can smell burning.

In the mornings I sometimes smell burnt toast but it's usually burnt toast.

jim henson famously complained of smelling burnt rubber before he died, might have been a stroke, or on his bike.

not for me, i got mine,
but not bad overall price
2 wheelsets, nice frame and crankset. -

Indeed, not sure if it'll still be there though, from Jan 12th. The extra wheelset makes it all the more tempting, and I am soon going to be in need of a track frame, it is good value for money.
Did have a little wonder about it before realising I don't even have the £400 I would've offered for it! -

Anyone know what this bike would be like?: http://www.gumtree.com/london/29/34018329.html
I'm new to the whole single speed thing.
Cheers for the advice.

Cheers, I thought they looked a bit suspect. I'm on the lookout for a second hand langster, genesis flyer/skyline or something in that area.
Dont really know where to look tbh apart from gumtree and ebay but doesn't seem to be too much on either at the moment. Did meet one guy from gumtree with a langster but it was so blatantly stolen I declined. Any tips appreciated.

Puch Pacemaker, unknown year. What are your opinions?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=180323890214I am thinking of this one for my first Fixie project. I.e. do the thing they seem to do in America a lot where they start with a shit frame, get all new parts like pricey wheels etc, then move these things onto a nicer frame when you have some more cash.
How much would you spend on the Puch?
Can you think of any caveats when it comes to eventually move the new parts I am thinking of adding to this one onto a 'proper' racing frame at a later point?
There seems to be a wide range of Puch models, anyone knows anything about the 'Pacemaker'? -

^ It looks like a very small bike. What height are you?
Also if the seatpin is ceased in the frame most likely the bottom bracket etc.. will be too, this may mean some elbow grease is required to remove conponents to replace with 'pricey' components.
those are lovely frames, super light especially in that size
531 FTW!
