I know the Hoffy store, really nice people... Had no idea they used to do their own track frames tho', weird! It's right next to Sandgate station, used to pop in with my bike if I was too early for the train into Brissy... I'm gonna bid on this, gf's sister can pick it up for me! :D

they came out in the 80's??
i always liked them, if you fit them carefully, and don't need to change the bars again, you should have no probs.yep, all true. Unless you stack and bend the bars like i did.

It's gonna be cheap, so it might be worth a punt if gf's sister's gonna bring it back in a box for me... I need another beater frame anyway... ;]

Cool ! I've got a very similar frame to this from Tasmania, Campag ends and long spearpoint lugs and Very tight clearances .
Didn't have any markings on the BB like this one though .
Do you know if all Australian track frames from that era are similar ? I've been trying to trace /date mine for ages .

I don't know too much about Aussie bikes tbh, always keep an eye out for that stuff cuzza my lady (who's from there)... Quite keen to pick this Hoffy up, tho' it may turn into a money pit... Would probably strip the chrome off and powdercoat it black, just to piss the convict purists off... I've got a connection to the shop so it could get silly now... ;]
