Josh, you had your chance for some free Brooks Bar tape and you blew it. You dont deserve any now. ;)

did i? when was that???!
-
• #5
ive got some i took off some bars, its rolled up and is still sticky so you could probos still use it, you can have for free if yo like.
-
• #6
cool, thanks, what's the condition like?
-

I have it on two sets of bars, but I wouldn't buy it again. Too expensive to tear it if your bike hits the deck.
-
• #8
how well does it wear with general use? bare drops just aren't practical.

When us stewards were allowed to go through the box of gifts for stewarding. We got little G&Ts and either a choice of Brooks Bar tape or a trowser clip (I went for the trowser clip as I needed that even less than I needed the Bar tape).

Just looked at the prices. I went for the £12 gift rather than the £30 gift. Oh well.

It's nice but is a bit tacky to the touch. You may love it. I prefer the newer stuff that has holes in it to the older plain stuff.

excellent in the wet

I detect extremely deadpan sarcasm?

absolutely not.
ive swapped the bars on the bob, whilst i am trying others - you are welcome to chuck them of your bike and have a test for a couple of days, if you like.

that's a kind offer but i'll pass for the moment, thanks.

they gave it away at shoreditch polo tournament. lots of people are still using as grips on polo mallets.

the perforated bar wrap is great, and much easier to install since it has more flex in it.

conditions pretty good, ill double check when i gets home and let you know, ill bring it to work in chancery lane tmoz.

I've had some (perforated) on mine since I built it, and it's great. It gets better looking with age and use, but as Skully says, you don't want to tear it up as it does cost a bit, and the wooden bar end corks smash easily if you crash.

Great on the touch especially in the cold. I've had some scrapes and it stands up far better than a lot on the synthetic stuff out there. The cycle shop in Streatham (De Veere's??) has the perforated stuff for £20- best price around.
Barring that I have some left over (blk/prf) that may do a half wrap on one side of bar your if you need?
if so, PM me
anyone got any of this for nice price? did anyone win any on the tweed run that is surplus to requirements? I have coins on standby.
