quickly made mine today (havent done the handle yet) from some scaffolding in the garage.
not sure about the measurements though... The pole seems slightly short (77cm) and the length of the tube is like 11.5cm
How big are the ones you made Harvey?
Oh, and my tube on the end there is aluminium, feels very nice and sturdy and light. If you want ive got a long piece left which will make like another 4 mallets. They are however only 3cm in diameter so quite narrow.
