    i appear to have cut my chin to ribbons with the old cut-throat britva. in my zeal i thought it possible to go 'sideways'. furthermore I have overdone the shaving and the chops are receding somewhat.

    always leave plenty of time for grooming, a gentleman never rushes.

    Shave the bits you want clean-shaven at least twice. Three times if you can. Trim beard/sideburns/tasche with scissors and comb. Apply aftershave and/or talc.

    I've started already or I'll have to get up at about 6am.

    setting off at 6am from yorkshire!!! and riding after i get dropped off at finchley.. can i get an overground into town or am i doomed to ride the 8 miles into town before hand?
