  • you are the same person

  • me....

im sure ive met you before, but i cant remember where from.

  • I have a hunch he's from Newcastle.

  • no either he has an unrelated london twin or ive definetly met him before

  • Note the oh so special M&S bag discretely hidden under the saddle

    Ah yes:

    Edit:
    6000th post ftw.

  • fixed legend ?

  • Not posted in here for a while, so here's the week day bike in all its 'glory'.

Note the oh so special M&S bag discretely hidden under the saddle, for those Paul Mitchel Moments, the direguer *Off White *tyres and saddle combo and the silly brake lever position.

Sorry about my wooden countenance in the photo, I was having a bad day, but at least my uniform matches the bike. Sort of.

Do you work in Top Shop?

  • My face is mostly the same, but finished my third build, aesthetics of which I'm still not sure about:

Yes, I am aware of the slack chain and the massive gear!

Viner track frame covered in vinyl, Terry saddle, anonymous seatpost, powdercoated 650c Deep V,s Miche double fixed hubs, Young Miche crankset (155, get in!), Soma clips, Miche BB, Nitto Pearl stem, FGL risers/Champs, saddle dangler by spaghettihoops.

OOOH! Where did you find the pink Terry saddle? I've been after one of those for ages (and now even more urgently, since my current one's on it's way out). If, for some hugely improbable reason, you ever want to get rid of it, let me know.

    Oh, and gorgeous build!

  • me and my bike
its a raleigh fixed gear conversion (not done by me). this is the first fixed gear i have owned, although i used to borrow one all the time when i lived in holland. also currently building a single speed, pictures of that soon.

  • nice bike!

  • nice baby!

  • Hack, what headset did you use on your leader?

  • Hack, what headset did you use on your leader?

Hey Rosmal, it's an FSA ZS3 Carbon Headset, which I believe is specific to a carbon steerer, there's an alloy version with the star nut cap which is about the same price or a bit cheaper and is available at wiggle:

    http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/Cycle/7/FSA_Orbit_ZS-3_Zero_Stack_Aheadset/5360010843/

Let me know how you get on with those short chainstays, I've got about 22mm in front of the axle and 12mm behind...

    Hack.

  • Damn i was hoping a wouldn't have to use a ZS3,
i was under the assumption that a FSA orbit Z might work, because i dont have £40 to spend on a headset.

Do you know what the cheapest one i could get is?

  • not that I'm an expert but this is the cheapest zero stack 1 1/8 I can find...

    http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/Cycle/7/Cane_Creek_ZSC_1_Zero_Stack_Aheadset/5360017633/

I found the guys at leader pretty quick to get back to me with any questions I had so sure they will give you a steer on what will work and what won't if you drop them an email.

EDIT: that link seems to have stopped working for me in the last two minutes but it's a Cane Creek ZSC 1 at twenty five quid from wiggle.

  • There seems to be alot of confusion on-line between what is zero stack, what is integrated and what is internal.
But i know Zero stack = internal, and integrated is something completely different, but alot of internal headsets are being listed as integrated when they are clearly Zero stack.

  • Stripped the paint back in August but haven't updated since. Still repping Obama hard.

    face is still the same.

  • hey been on the forums for a while just got round to registering. i ride a 07 fuji track, not very exciting but still fun! upgraded bits and bobs but on a budget seeing as im a stinking student.

    my bike....

    me....

    Are you Dave Grohl ?
