andy.w, i didn't know all that.. and it's definitely kind of a bummer, but i'm not really surprised. politics is a game where money and corporate interests are really big cards to hold, maybe someday in the far off distant future that will change - and wouldn't it be great.. but american people are paying attention now and they care and lots of them are proud and happy, and i think/"hope!" that will have a trickle-down effect on other aspects of american society, too. he's a politician for sure, and obviously not perfect, but i do think he's already done quite a lot for the american psyche.
