Face it chap(ette)s. The only real reason for using Knogs is that they don't leave all that ugly clipy type hardware behind.

If your gekko has packed up take it back to where you bought it from, I sell 'em in my shop and as you guys have said if you get them real wet they pack up!!! I have gone through two on my bikes before I changed to somet else! They have credited us for all of the returns though so they know it's a fault!

The button on my knog skink has started playing up this week, it either wont turn on or gets stuck on, only had it a couple of months, i thought they were supposed to be waterproof!!

I've used two of the biggest ones with several LEDs in them for ages in all weathers. Never had any trouble.

Put a condom /balloon over lights this keeps them nice and waterproof.

take the plastic cover off and clean it, and replace battery if it not bright enough.

its not that it has become any dimmer, just my confidence in its abilty to be seen. at first i thought it was fine, but now i find myself getting the fear occasionally. its only a single blinky LED!

oh you mean the Frog? just get yourself a toad/gekko to repace it.

i use 2 frogs up front, and a bullfrog at the back and that combination works ok for me, am tempted to get a bigger front light tho having said that. if the light is faulty, then the packaging shouldn't be an issue...

I think the Frogs should only be used as a back up light or an addition to something brighter like a Gekko/cat eye or whatever. one little LED isn't enough to catch the eye of a sleepy london car driver.
I'm thinking of having a light on the bars pointing towards me, this way my whole body would be lit up, no excuses for not seing me coming!

I prefer lights that only have a simple on an off switch, they tend to cane batteries but they never fuck up and are easily rebuildable. i.e.
one of these
I have to sand down the contacts to get maximum battery life outta them, and they don't look exactly pretty, but they don't break.

It's gotta be Blackburn lights on the rear - bright and you like and with a lifetime warranty should things go tits up!
I'm running a Mars5.0 and it's ace - amber side LED's too:

I use a frog on my front fork and seat post (both on blink) and then a toad up front and a 3 LED cateye clipped on my belt. Looking like a mobile disco FTW.

I used to have one of them. It broke (after about 10 years).

Does anyone use the Knog Beetle? How you got on with that little fella?

the knog lights have a habit of either being really good or really bad. the shop i used to hang out in back home would open them up and make sure they worked before they sold them. normally a thrid of them would be broken straight from the factory.
Make a small hole in the underside of lights so water can drain out.
