theyre rolled and weld tubing...and really fucking hard to drill through... personally i think theyre alot stronger than the ski poles. But with the strength comes weight unfortunalty. i weighted my ski pole mallet about 230g this one comes in at 310g. not too bad but i think you could shed some with more drilling/melting in the head.
