Stag Do's...

a mate of mine took his non cycling friends on a cycle tour / pub crawl through oxford, even the whiners loved it. Bikes rule!
having said that, i've done the barge stag too, awesome.

I need some inspiration for a stag do I'm organising next month:

6 people
7th / 8th Feb
Somewhere equidistance between London, Manchester and Wiltshire
An outdoor activity (horse racing, dog racing, mushrooms)
A good few pubs - ideally one with a late license
And cheap accommodation

Has anyone had any great or shite experiences they'd like to share? Under a hundred notes each would be good.

That's about the extent of my list of ideas so far

have a party in a sewer we did at christmas was the most fun i have ever had.

Sounds like Nottingham or Leicester.
EDIT: Geographically, I meant - not sewer-like.

Nottingham could be the badger. Paintballing, plenty of student skirt and the market square's been resurfaced with granite slabs.

All you really need is shrooms, somewhere to camp and a lava lamp with a stereo playing Voodoo Child, over and over...

Paintballing on mushies could be one to remember....

Bristol is awesome for stag do's you wanna go to skirmish paintball during the day, then occeania nightclub at night :)

Occeania has 5 bars and 2 full on clubs all within one building, its frickin awesome, real fun night out.

Indeed what wibble said, as long as you stick to that one rule, and listen to the safety briefing you'll be fine! Paintballing rocks, I play several times a month and absolutely love it.

Less than a hundred each . . . .

Get pissed up on supermarket own brand/moonshine, pick up a loner, kill him/her/it with a branch off a tree, then try and dispose of the evidence by everyone setting about the body in an eating frenzy, flesh = 10 points, organs = 20 points, crunchy bones = 30 points - and whom ever shall consume the eyes shall get 100 points per ball.

Just think about that, 200 points for a pair.

He who has the most points at the end of the carnal melee gets two cinema tickets to see a film of his/her choice and a 20% off voucher for Pizza Express.

Canal boat. Plenty of booze and whatever else you might like. Potter from pub to pub. Moor up overnight outside one. Drink. Back to the boat for whatever you fancy after...poker / strippers / gimp masks...

An outdoor activity (horse racing, dog racing, mushrooms) - check (though 'activity' in the sense of sitting around boozing)
A good few pubs - ideally one with a late license - check
And cheap accommodation - check

Plus the opportunity to piss off members of the 'Inland Waterways Community'.

This in itself is worth the effort.

Second on the canal boats, organised this for my brothers for 20 people, picked 3 boats up in Worcester on Friday PM, went out and got smashed in Worcester on the Friday night, then set sail early sat morning. Drinking all the way. You really do fuck the water pikeys right off by blasting at full speed past their boats. Full speed being about 6mph. If I was doing it again I would look into the pubs available as we only managed to find about 3 on the route, but it will just depend on what marina you leave from. Worked out at about 90 quid each, which is pretty good as you don't need to find accomodation, plus as much beer as you can carry.

But just remember it will all be worth the effort come the happy day...

Paintballing, muddy, wet, cold, just like riding your bike in winter but with guns! Plus you get to shoot the stag. :)

Definitely go on the canals. Really good routes around Birmingham and a fuckin good laugh for a group of lads. Take your bikes and you could squeeze in a pissed up night ride / swim too.

Cheap at this time of year and they don't normally mind having groups of blokes as long as they get their boat back relatively unscathed.

Did this for my mates a year or so ago and it's the best stag do I've ever been on.
