I knew there were a bunch of drummers on here.
I do like vintage kits, but i play a 10 year old Pearl Masters MMX. After playing a load of different kits in the last 13 years this is by far my personal fave...thin ply drums for extra volume; possibly the loudest kick drum i've played.
Use all A customs, bright and fairly loud, but not too piercing due to a nice, slow attack.
Use to use five toms and something like 10 cymbals, but after realising that was dumb i stripped it to one rack, one floor, kick and snare, with a couple of crashes, ride and hats. Perfect setup.
Anybody after some Pearl Masters toms? Got 10" & 14" racks, and an 18" floor going spare.
