We have a student staying with us, he is a Russian Orthodox. He's quite young and very intelligent so I was surprised when he said that he has to go to church every Sunday. I asked him why and he said its because his family tell him he has to. Fair enough I guess. Anyway, the sadistic Christian church he goes to make the congregation stand for a full 4 hours, while the priest tells them to reflect on their sins and the like. Poor bloke, I mean he goes every bloody week, I can't see that he could have done so much wrong in the last week as to warrent hell fire and damnation for 4 hours whilst standing!
And there is no afterlife because when my Mum died, I told her to let me know if there was anything going on and no word yet in 10 years, so I have taken that as a no.
Poor suicide bombers though, told about the virgins in the after life and all that tripe. Bunch of maniacs, the lot of them
