Is the back wheel set up for gears or track?
How long is the steerer on the forks?

the back wheel has a 14t cog and has a weinmann rim 700c with a mailard hub

the front wheel is a 650c, with mailard hub, mailhard quick release and mavic open4cd rim, plus continental grand prix tyres (i think 19c)

could you tell me how to measure the fork. thanks.

I just need to know the length of the top tube (The non forked bit) from the top of the aluminium section to the top of the threaded part. Also, how deep the threading on the top of that tube goes.

measure the steerer tube by measuring up from the top of where the forks split, bb balls place.

top tube is the tube where the badges are placed on the frame, the hole where the forks are placed

ok, the length is 13cm and the thread goes for 3.5cm

Mmmmmm, think that's a bit short. Might mean getting a new headset. Are you based in London?

the frame is 54cm with italian thread bb which i will include the campagnolo italian thread bb which is brand new. the frame has lugged ends. it has recently just been professionaly sanded and resprayed white.

I can only weigh this up on the fact that the fork may well be no good to me which would be a pain. £45 posted for the fork and front wheel?
