As an aside; this whole fixed-gear/single-speed movement is indubitably cyclic (excuse the pun), and while cycle makers seek to earn from us, or those that join our group, mass-production (along with competition) will reduce bikes and parts for the rest of us.
If joining our front-of-TopShop stylish bunch* is a hazard for some, then you have made it that bit less fearful for them. For a newb, you seem to have some hard spheres on you.
*Except fatties like me, or those with air-filled t-shirts of course.
