As long as you run a front brake, the badly nicknamed "suicide" hubbed wheels will suffice. There are conflicting views on this, but as long as you run a brake for back up, I think they are fine. I run one on my commuting bike for about 6 months now and it's fine. If you are new here, and don't know what these hubs are, ask here, and I'll be happy to answer as I've built a few of these. They are ultra cheap btw. If you're willing to pay postage I can build you a new one for around £45 posted.

Dont bother with the suicide, total waste of time. If youve got £60 you should find a good wheel here or on ebay.
