Ok. Raleigh bb = 26tpi
English standard = 24tpi

So spare bb will not fit in pennine frame, nor will the one in the carlton assuming its a 26tpi as well.
Easiest route is then to use frame with bb fitted(50's Dayton with bad 70's paint), but would be able to use bb from dayton in the pennine frame as both non-raleigh english?
sigh. if i had money this wouldn't be an issue. makes it more interesting i guess.
