Saw Dinosaur Jr there on a night when they couldn't be bothered with tunes and still made a terrific racket. Also Kanda Bongo Man with Nene Tchakou on guitar which is what passes for a religious experience for me.
Kind of preferred the Town & Country club though; if only for a gig by Percy Sledge where he lowered himself in to the crowd (he's not a slim man) with great elegance. He was wearing a white suit and red cummerbund.
