okay why is that so surprising when normal bus driver being considerated? everyone always go on about how red bus driver never give consideration to cyclists but frankly, 2 years going up and down London, it's only in a rare case that the bus driver are a cunt.

but nearly all the time, they always give an amazing amount of room between the kerb and the bus if there's a cyclists in front of them and/or don't overtake the cyclist when the bus stop is only 30 metres away.

is it only me or just because 5 bus drivers were a cunt in says a week, that we automatically make assumption that all bus drivers are cunt as oppose to hundred of buses whom while overtaking us give us a massive amount of room between the kerb and the bus?

totally agree with you. i find bus drivers among the most consistantly considerate and patient drivers in london. i even noticed one yesterday taking an exaggerated wide and slow left turn because he'd seen me behind him, then lost sight of me (i'd dropped back waiting for him to turn off). he was obvioulsy being extra cautious just in case i'd decided to come up the inside and he'd somehow not seen me.

i even started a "hooray for bus drivers" thread a month or two back. it got pretty much shouted down by handful of anecdotal stories of cunty bus behaviour.
