Bouncers pulled me down the stairs by my hair once. It was at some glam/punk club night.
Saw Nirvana there in 1989 third on the bill with Mudhoney and Tad. There was a scottish band on the bill that night called The Cateran who were really good, Tad rocked as well.
I took Mrs W to the Astoria for our fourth date or something. We went to see Birdland ('slain will remember them). She hated it, but she still married me a couple of years later.
