  • Anyone around Dublin sell decent messenger bags? or is online the only option really?

  • Online's the cheaper option, anyway.

  • Yeh just hard to tell how big the bags are, I wouldn't need a huge one but I'd need to fit a bit of stuff in it all the same....change of clothes, laptop etc.

  • Just get on Scott's list for an Archie's, that's my plan... wait it out :)

Value for money his bags look to be streets ahead of everything else

  • Yeh, they are great looking bags, but is the list not about 6 months or so? I need a bag quicker that that. Online it is then I guess.

  • True... yeah online's your only man! LBS in Dublin are quite pricy!

  • Yep I just bit the bullet and bought this puppy http://www.urbanhunter.biz/shop/catalogue.php?item_id=97

Seems to get good reviews on the main site too.

  • That looks good!!!

You working as a curryer(sic) then or just getting one for convenience??

I'm in no rush for one so I 'm waiting for an Archie's

  • Ah no, just commuter, but my backpack just doesn't hold enough, isn't waterproof at all, and that style bag is more comfortable. Headin to oz for 2months too, and need something to carry laptop and few bits in too.

Archies bags are nice though, which one did you go for, and did he give you any idea how long the wait would be?

  • I got myself (cough) a postbag when I left An Post a few years ago when I worked as a postman, loads of room, proper stitching, comfortable fit... it still serves me well.

  • And waterproof too I'm sure. It must have been a retirement gift? ;)

  • I haven't decided which one I want yet, I'll wait until he gets all the pics up and then choose

  • I have a large Timbuk2, im quite happy with it, very waterproof, comfortable and overall good(and cheap). I will bring it out to trix for sizing and stuff if you want.

  • I'm thinking about getting a large Timbuk2 bag. Anyone have any opinions about them?

  • Just got this in The Great Outdoors... €75 can't be beaten!

  • Yes, yes it can, lol my timbuk2 was cheaper.
And tbh mine doesnt look gank.

Where did you get your bag? I'm looking to get a large timbuk2 and cheapest I've seen was 70 pounds.

  • Fleabay, just be patient with the auctions and you will get one cheap.

  • Sorry guys been away, got the bagaboo in the end, quite happy with it. I'll take some pics if anyone's interested on getting an idea of size?

  • I think I got my chrome for about 70 punts but obviously thats a few years back. Still works like its brand new.

I'd like to check out the bagaboo!

  • Yeah bagaboos are good, if you really want a good bag I would go for a bagjack, got an old torn one that I will fix for myself but they are very good, and HUUUGE.
The xl will fit a pc tower plus a spare set of clothes.

  • That's just what need man, my computer tower will never fit in my North Face and I'm at a loss without it ;) lol

  • Ive got a laptop sleeve in my current bag but I dont have a laptop:(.

  • You need a PC sleeve ;) lol

  • Yeah, its called a bagjack:D
