The pound has also become incredibly shit against the american dollar, further pushing prices up.
It's not just fixed wheel stuff that's gone up in price, most things have...e.g. all new Trek bikes are at least £50 more expensive for 2009.
There was also apparently a big price increase in the price of steel last year...but i could be wrong about that...chinese whispers, you know.
