Snowboarding Anyone?

sorry to dig this up but

I'm hitting Europe in February/March for my 26th.

I'm a skier though... and yes, we are much better than boarders.

no but im with chug it on this one, unfortunately missing this season though :(
nothing against most boarders just those asshole novices that scrape all the lovely powder from the tracks

couldn't do christmas and I don't have enough time off in Feb
I wan't to go for a solid 2 weeks-maybe NZ in the summer, hopefully go to snowbombing next year as well

fantastic, I haven't been but Ive heard very good things about it,
Im not going to ask what its like cos that is stoopid but how do you think it matches up to Europe and is there another good reason to go there apart from it being seasonally convenient?

@ skoota.... this season? good snow fall already in the Alps ..

NZ - especially the south island,. Coronet peak and The Remarkable's are great places to ski, lots of people flock from around the globe, scenically its superb-and the good quality snow makes your ride even better, Queenstown where the fields are situated is breathtakingly beautiful, and Ive lived\snowboarded all over the world.. dont think much else compares, NZ is a small country so you get better conditions being less traffic from hordes of people, although popular.. because its in the underbelly of the world is not highly populated like Colorado or parts of Europe.

If you havent been I recommend it, if you resonate with natural beauty you cant go past it, its divine... clean , super fresh air like none in the world! and beautiful

Every year for the last 4 years I've been needing/wanting/trying to get to the slopes but something has always come up. Might try and go this year though. Fingers crossed!!

Looks like I might have organised some night time jaunts to the mountains, for some floodlit boarding. I have some fellow dads (AKA those without weekends) on week day powder alert, and my gear all packed :)

Snowboarding in the evenings, in Norway (bloody dark), is tricky as it makes it difficult to spot bumps and dips in advance. Bloody good fun though.

Roof is sweet! huge weight of my mind with all this wet weather.

No huge winfall i am afraid, so still can't come out and play :( but for wishing me a huge windfall you will be the first to recieve some should it happen ;)

get to it! :] seasons in full swing...snow reports are great, loads of snow everywhere, you still have plenty of time,if you go near the Alps pop in for a cuppa :] ...or..if you need a place to crash I have room from mid-late march unless there are no shows it could be earlier?

whoo hoo! still plenty of time yet lol.. seriously, have a awesome time in Kaprun,I havent been there but I intend to at some stage... I expect lots of pixs on your return! :]
