Perhaps it comes with a complementary Mercian frame?
-

Ok, so what do you reckon I should ask for. £60?

£25 would be about right so ask for £40.

First sale - - be nice.

£100?Ouch.
Its nice that the frames so mint & coming from its original owner. But indeed its just a budget 80's bike. Most raleighs were made of reynolds 501/531 and youd struggle to sell one for more than £50
A low-end falcon falls in the same category as a 80's BSA, heavy & with slack geometry they can be built up into fairly nice kitsch/retro tourers/town bike. But really a fair price would be something like £25 (<£10 at car boot/jumble)
But its fairly nice looking, so Id bung it on ebay and add keywords like "cool fixie" and you might get a £50+

polo bike anyone?

It's bonnie enough and for what most people I see riding around in London use their bikes for, perfectly cheap and capable.
Tell someone on broadway market that it comes with some black horn rimmed glassless glasses and you'll sell it in a second.

Is this still up for sale and I'm 5'10 so would it be a bit big for me?
-

Tabi, any idea what seat-post size it takes? I have a very similar Falcon frame I'm trying to size the seat-post on - cheers :)

How do you know its not 531? There are plenty of 531 frames out there that haven't got the transfer on.
Serious question.

I've got a very similar frame (same lugs and it's a Falcon) that's too heavy for 531, could be 520.

First sale - - be nice.
My Dad built this up for my Mum back in the day. Turns out she didn't like cycling. Hardly been ridden. Tiny bits of rust in paintwork, but overall in very good condition. Would make great fixie but too big for me.
About 58cm seat tube.
Headset and forks included. Cranks etc not included.
Collection only from central London, near Euston/King's Cross. £40
