They're a few bikes under £300. Some are halfway reasonable, but the best for the price is the quite superior Specialized Tricross from Pearson's. Its on sale for £275 If the looks don't grab you, then maybe check out the SE Lager; more colourful, but far less worthy.
Whatever your choice, stay away from the Montana. Hitting a pothole at 10 mph just might be enough to make that bike a write-off.
However, if you ask questions on here, for which there are already a multitude of answers, its more than likely you will be sent to search for the invisible goose.
