I might join you, as much as I think Hamas are a repellant medieval horror show, Israel have managed to unite the most disparate views against their recent contempt for humanity.
Absolutely disgusting work from the Israelis.
I agree with your linked article (from the economist) when they say:
"If rejection of the other side’s national claims is one of the things that make this conflict so hard to end, the other is religion."
To be honest it is silly that this even needs to be stated, anyone who takes even the most cursory interest could have told us that without religion's influence we might have closed this wound decades ago.
