Bike in vancouver?

Hi everyone, happy new year.

Ive just come over to vancouver to study for 4 months, but couldnt bring my bike which is a bit annoying.

i want to get one out here, but dont want to spend too much on. Has anyone been in the same sort of situation to know where i could pick up some second hand bike, a thrift store maybe? had a look on craigslist but its pretty sparce.

Any help would be great.
