Buy one of these:
Use front carry, as per picture. Insert 2-year-old. Walk down 3 flights of stairs. Walk to supermarket. Fill 2 (reused) bags with heavy shopping e.g. root veg, liquids. In wine/beer section, repeatedly crouch down to inspect bottles on the bottom shelf. Pay. Walk home. Walk up 3 flights of stairs. Repeat when fridge/cupboard is bare.
